Note:

Many people ask me what the differences are between the Hwarang bow and other Korean traditional bows, such as those made by Samick (SKB50). It would be easier for me to say what their similarities are. They are all made for Korean-style shooting, and are approximately the same length. That's about it. Here are the differences:

  • The Hwarang bows are hand-crafted by bowyers in family-owned and operated businesses.
  • The Hwarang bows have the look of a true Korean horn bow, complete with birch bark backing and wood siyahs.
  • The Hwarang bows have the smooth, fast performance of the true Korean horn bow.

The SKB50, etc. are good entry-level Korean bows (I started out with one like the SKB50 many, many years ago), but if what you want is a beautiful bow that performs as great as it looks, then the Hwarang Korean Bow is the one for you.

Don't be confused by imitators--there is only one Hwarang Korean Bow!
