Do you cant the bow?
I see many advise this, but every time i start canting, i can´t hit at all.
Same with KTB or longbow, thumbring or finger release.
Today have some training, target was candle, it is dark early this time of year.
Cant and arrows went too much right and up.
Vertical and can blow the candle with arrow from 20 meters..

What is your bow weight and draw length?
No criticism, but an observance and question; it seems that most (all) thumb ring shooters readjust the ring after (before) every shot. Does the ring move that much, should it?
I have never shot with a thumb ring.

It depends, when i practice speed shooting, there is no time to readjust.

I am not as fast as Murat Özveri, yet... 
I think turkish style with shorter draw is good for hunting, it is easy to aim and, as you can see, it is very fast style.
Korean style with long draw is bit slower and harder to aim.
Will, don´t know others, but my KTB feels like 55#@30, which it is..
Not too light, just comfortable, altough i shoot also 60@28, 70@28 & 80@30 bows...
Is a 32" arrow enough to get started with?
I shoot "normal" bows about 27" dl, with thumbring and (i guess it is) turkish style 29" and korean style about 30-31".
But i have short arms...
Well, i think the brace heigtht is now right (~14cm) and form is good.
Must remember NOT to grasp the handle, just grip it like you would hold a egg...

Just one advice: tie some thread on both side of feathers just for case. Looks traditional and fletchs stay on place... 
Bamboo is so hard to find, Ebay maybe, but i will make some wooden arrows, just must order some shafts, i can have them from here Finland...

Thanks, just must keep practising and try with other arrows. Form may need some tuning...
Also lighter bow needs better technique. I had Samick SKB, and same thing whit it, can´t just take and shoot...
Speed of this Kaya bow is amazing, as fast as my turkish bow which is 70#@28"... 
By the way, what might be right brace lenght? That may cause problems too...
It must be very small, or else i have too long string. If i twist it, it starts to twist on loops and then it starts to twist to whole bow. 
Hope you realize what i am trying to say...
Well, now i have two training sessions behind.
Very demanding bow.
All the other bows i can just shoot. But KTB throws arrows always right side of target. 
Don´t know if it is because of arrows (Easton Powerflight 500 full lenght), they work on other bows, or is this bow wider?
I have now Powerflights spined 400, just have to glue feathers and i can test...
But must keep practising...

I'm using BCY 8125 on mine, several thousand shots with no damage, the string that comes with it is FastFlight

Bow is now tested.
Very light, lighter than my turkish bow, which is like a feather that too.
Handle was too big, when i shoot, i modified it but now it is too dark to shoot. Must try again tomorrow. I like small handle.
Aiming is hard, KTB is wider than my other bows, so arrows hit right, also my arrows spine is not right. Must get new arrows.
Very fast and light bow. 55#@30" is easy to draw over 30", need longer arrows...
Light bow otherwise needs perfect technique, so it is harder to shoot than my 70# turkish...
Is this bow fastflight compatible or should i use dacron instead? I have friend who make strings, so i might ask him for spare string.

My Kaya KTB 55#@30" arrived in Finland friday, just must pay customs, so i guess i have bow in my hands next week!

Yes, i hunt here in Finland. Nearest place to hunt is just 20 kilometers from my home...
Well, i have been hunter for many years, first started with compound bow, next firearms, shotgun and rifle, and finally recurve and longbows.
Lately i have been training with horsebows and naturally next step is Korean bow.
I bet i am only one with Korean bow and thumbring when i go hunting with some traditional bowhunters this winter...
I had draw lenght about 27", even with thumbring.
Now i have been practising Korean style, and with my 80#@30" hungarian bow i now draw that 30".
Can´t wait for my Kaya KTB 55#, i probably can draw that 32".
Very good looking.
Though i like simple, so my KTB will stay black...
Hannu, The Easton Flatline has a 33" shaft the .400 spline works well in my 50# KTB, I'll be fletching a few of them within the next couple of days and will post a photo build along when I do. I'm not sure what's available to you, but most of the raw shafts seem to be 32" or 32.5" it is really simple to glue feathers or vanes on and even the most challenged should be able to glue the inserts into the end and screw in their point of choice.
zdog, i make my own arrows.
Unfortunately i order last arrows about month ago, i wanted 29", but did not know that i will order KTB...
I can use short arrows with my longbow, must order another dozen of full lenght shafts...
Trident, my draw lenght is ~27,5", even with thumbring, but my anchor is same as when i shoot with longbow.
Bows are 70#@28 and 80#@30, that may be reason for short anchor...
KTB will be 55#@30 and technique different.
Just try my kids 15# bow, draw lenght is more than 29". Must ask those wooden arrows too.
I use selfmade thumbring, which is made of horn.
WB, the longest ones I've shot are the the Gold Tip 5575 I'm using now, and I have a few that were made slightly longer (inadvertently) I had some saunders screw in glue on tip adapters, and glued on 5/16 glue on 125 grain field tips, so that adds 2 inches at least, I'm estimating the arrow is at least 34" tip to nock. I love this arrow for my KTB bows... They fly straight and hit hard! And they look great.
As for full length I have to check it, should be close, but probably not 35.5" you must have long arms!
I'm 6' 2" and it works for me perfectly, the arrows still have a bit more than an inch if I'm at my full thumbring draw...
I haven't seen longer myself, only the full length bamboo shafts that come 39" on ebay... that may be the quicker and cheaper route than having them custom made, if thats possible.. Hope you find it.
Here in Finland is one arrowmaker, he use Scandinavian pine. I must ask, if he can make 35,5" arrows.
My carbons are 29", think i need longer arrows, when i get my KTB... 
I hunt also small game, have not try with thumbring, i have longbow for that.
However i practice hunting situtations when i shoot with thumbring.
This fall i will take Kaya KTB with me, just have to wait it is ready and shipped to me...
Mostly sneaking, sometimes with my friend and he´s dog.

I have try that with normal recurve, but arrow just goes far left.
I read "Kays thumbring book", and she says, mongolian archers can shoot both sides, so it is not matter which side of the bow arrow is.

Yup, I hold it in my left hand and release with my right. With fingers, the arrow is on the left side of the bow; with thumb ring, it's on the right. Yes, it's true what Kay said about Mongolian archers, but they are pretty much the exception.

Ok, i get it. I was trying to shoot arrow on left side, no wonder it did not work...
Must try my longbow with thumbring some day...
I saw the video a couple more times and saw that its a Khan.... This guy shoots off of 3 fingers. The arrow completely penetrated that buck with no problem. Just amazing. Some long bows and recurves I've seen couldn't penetrate like that. Heavy arrows and close range = penetration
I have seen some compoundbow videos, and i think Khan/KTB(?) penetrated similar way, so there is a lot of energy...
So i can easy take KTB (when i get it ) for hunting, my longbow stay on wall decoration...
And if he shoots 3 fingers, what is draw lenght? It is only 50# bow! Very amazing.
