If you get a ring that is too small a dremel is the obvious fix. If you get one that is too large there are a bunch of options, Electricians tape, chewing gum or my favorite. JB weld.

JB weld is a great idea. If you apply too much you can then remove a little with a dremel tool.
That is a great suggestion.
