Topic: KTB performance data

I have had a Kaya KTB 55#@31" for about five months now and have recently quantified it's performance.I have shot three or four thousand arrows from it.The draw weight measured 56#@31" when I received it and it still measures the same.Last week I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of long range shots from it.I shot a 440 gr. arrow from it at an angle of about 45 deg. and it traveled 220 yards. One shot at about 30 deg. traveled about 195 yards.I also shot a few 430 gr.arrows through a chronograph and the velocity ranged from 199fps-205fps. I have left the bow strung for a couple weeks at a time and this seems to have no detrimental effect on it. All in all this seems like pretty respectable performance to me.

Yeah, Korean trad bows are quite resilient.

Re: KTB performance data

I agree whole heartedly. For the price that is paid for a KTB, it is hard to beat in any discipline.

Glad to hear that you are liking it so much.

Pretty impressive stuff.

Re: KTB performance data

Althought the fit and finish of the KTB can be improved a lot, the performance is absolutely amazing for the money we pay.  The KTB really shines if it were drawn more than 32".
