Topic: Hello from Central California - bow lb and learning Q

Hello! What a great resource to learn about traditional archery, thank you for all your contributions.

I purchased a Hwarang Korean bow from this site a few months back and finally got around to ordering some test arrow blanks. The bow is a 55lb draw @31

Welcome to the forum!

55# is pretty strong, might be too much to learn proper form with. Just my 2ct.

Nice! I'm in South California. I thought that issue of the messages being cut off was fixed already, I've pestered Bluelake(Thomas Duvernay) a few times about it already... I guess it happens when it asks "how many dan levels" etc

I have a Nomad 53", 45lb at 31" is also pretty strong for proper form, though I draw to 32" or so.. hard to control. Good to have a heavier bow to help tone muscles though, but a lighter one should be used for form training.
