Topic: 21st century arrow binding technique

Hey guys,
recently I've been doing some arrow making and I ran into the problem of my bamboo shafts splitting without a binding. It was clear that I needed some bindings to prevent them splitting but the traditional bindings look tricky to do my self. So I came up with the idea of using electrical shrink tube instead and it has worked fabulously (see pic). I'm sure someone has done this before but I thought I would share the idea just in case it might interest someone.

I haven't used electrical tape for this but glad it works and even better they make lots of colorful tapes  so you can make it look good.

Sadly the picture didn't show for me.

Hey again guys,
Sorry i got my picture link incorrect. The picture is working now for me. It's not electrical tape but heat shrink tubing, you just shrink it with a blow dryer. It comes in as many colours as electrical tape though and it's extremely cheap, less then a few dollars a meter here.

That does look good,  Not sure why I read that as electrical tape but I like this better.   I will have to try this
