Topic: Custom Thumb Rings - an introduction
First off, thank you Thomas for generously allowing us to post here. It isn't lost on us that commercial/spammy posts are annoying, so as a thank you for letting us participate here we'll be offering a series of discounts to go with posts. (we'll get to that)
We are Custom Thumb Rings, we make custom fitted thumb rings on a continuous sizing spectrum. We've all felt the pain of rings that don't fit right, either because you're between standard sizes or because of the difficulty of accurately measuring your thumb. We can not only make virtually any size ring, from the smallest child to the most monstrous Odyssean man, but we recommend taking advantage of our sets of three closely sized rings. This way one, or multiple, of them should fit. Goodness knows, as your thumb swells with temperature, time of day, etc a different size ring will sometimes just feel better. We currently have eight styles available, and are in the process of adding more. As seen from left to right: Manchu, Byzantine, Ottoman, Grooved, Hybrid, Tongue (long), Tongue (short), and Chinese Spur. Seen at center are mirror polish Byzantine (in bronze) and Hybrid (in sterling silver) rings. The Byzantine was actually modeled after a bronze artifact. It has come full circle.
We offer rings in our standard polymer in four colors Black, Nocturnal Blue, Silver Gray, and Ivory. We also offer rings in a variety of metals, perfect for shooting heavier bows or just a more decorative ring. (yes we made the sword too, did a build-along on our blog actually)
We do, however, do a few things other than just make thumb rings. We have convenient sizers, for people who don't like or don't own calipers. We offer Kulaks, little leather tabs for inside your rings, which adjust fit and increase comfort even on non-Ottoman rings. You'll notice the Blog has a manchu arrow build-along. At the bottom I noted that my Hwarang should be able to fling one of those massive arrows at over 200fps, fantastic little bows they are.
We made some whistling tracer arrow heads, and they're now available for sale. Developed them with an actual decibel meter, and the final gen rated an average of 85dB at 1 meter.
If you're one of the people interested in bow performance data, we're also behind some of the bow performance data posts we've shared here before. We'll continue to add to this data set, of course, and update it on our blog and Facebook Page.
And more is coming. We've got a bunch of different projects that, at least we, think are cool going on and we hope you do as well. We hang out on Facebook a fair bit, feel free to like our page, we try to deliver some interesting content weekly. (but no more often, don't want to get spammy) It is also where we generally announce special offers, giveaways, etc.
So now for the good stuff, the discounts. As a thank you for letting us post here, we'd like to offer everyone on the forum a discount. For the next week, when you check out on our website, enter the coupon code KoreanArcheryIntro7 to get 7% off your order.
