Topic: Korean Horn Bow concerns

Hello! I would like to ask if there is a member here who owns a horn bow and lived in areas near the Equator (meaning countries with a very humid climate)?

May I know how to handle Horn Bows in humid countries? Are they also allowed to use in the rain?

Thanks for any tips here. ????????

1) Do I own horn bows?  yes.
2) Do I live near the equator? no.
3) I don't really understand your 3rd question but I will elaborate a bit below and maybe that will help.
4) Should these be used in rain? no.

I'm not going to weigh in too much about how atmospheric temperature conditions are going to affect your bow as I have no way to effectively know that and really neither is anyone else here realistically speaking.  All I know from my two Korean hornbows is that if you store them in their sleeves in a relatively cool dry place you should be relatively ok.  Dynamic use will also give them stability.  So periodically stringing them up is a good idea.  Always be diligent when handling them after stringing and check for twists, uneven limbs or misalignments.  Apply corrective measures if need be.  There are a few threads where much of this is discussed here.  I suggest you review them.
