Topic: Arrows used in Imjin War

Thomas in the Admiral's diary he describes "long" arrows, "steel" arrows, "short" arrows, and "arrows".  I was wondering what the difference was in each of these arrows.

Re: Arrows used in Imjin War

I would have to see the original Korean to know for sure, but at least with the short arrows, he is probably talking about pyeonjeon, which were half-sized arrows shot from a bamboo tube overdraw, called a tong-a.
