WOW!!

Great "build-a-long" MW.    I imagine a Manchu style ring would take even less time. (apart from polishing)

The Manchu style ring looks as though the string pressure is pulling straight off the large knuckle of the thumb, whereas with rings that require bending the thumb and placing the fore finger over the thumbnail puts the pressure more on the first thumb joint or divided between the two. Am I correct on this, or no, and if correct, which is the stronger method? As of now I have never used a thumb ring. Just trying to determine which way to start.

That looks REALLY tricky!      yikes

In fact, .... click on "Thumb Rings" topic above.

There are topics on thumb ring use that I'm sure someone here can direct you to. Hang tight. smile

If you have tuned your bow/arrow set-up and have adjusted your brace height by shortening or lengthening (twisting or untwisting) your string, then YES you need to take measures to keep the string as it is. What I do, if I remove the string, is clamp/tie, (whatever) the loops together so the string does not become twisted more, or less than what you have tuned it to.

An all wood bow should be unstrung when not in actual use. You be the judge as to HOW to unstring your bow, but I'd use a bow-stringer. Laminated (with glass) bows can be left strung if being used almost daily, but I'd suggest unstringing if not.

Would be interested if this bow is still for sale ...... and the price.  neutral            Will

Kaya Wind Fighter is now being offered on ebay for North America (cannot ship overseas). I assume it is available for Europe and other parts of the world as it was not for the U.S. (plus) until this year. Price is $275.00.

It looks very good, and is very impressive on the you tube videos ( as much as can be ascertained from videos).

John, you described my shoulder pain to a T. I've been putting off seeing a doctor for about three months now .............. I think it's time, since the pain isn't getting any better. Thank you for the post. Will

The last time I checked (about the middle of last year) they were not in business. Don't know why they keep the web-site running, as it was when I checked too.

Looking forward to this!

What is the draw weight?

Another thing to consider is, these bows do not "physically" seem to be drawing as heavy as they really are, so the "perceptable" draw weight feels lighter.  IMHO, a 40# bow woud be just right ( it is what I would choose for myself anyway)  wink

Not normal, try taking off everything on the ends of your bow so you can see the nocks clearly. Check for rough and /or
irregular spots in the groove of the nocks. If so , smooth the grooves with round files or sandpaper. That would be the first thing
I would look at.   wink

Okay, this shot was done with a very high energy Mathews and not a trad bow.  However, it really shows how a hunt should be with a combination of perfect placement, very sharp & wide diameter broadhead and kinetic energy.

WarBow, that is the most devastating bow shot I haver seen. The hog even went to his knees on impact. WOW.

They used to give credits at the beggining of a movie...........I'm glad they're at the END of the movie nowadays, they can be 20 to 30 minutes long, so you would think if they can credit the guys carrying equiptment around they could credit the ones who
provided authentic props!   roll
